All lifted 05-up fx4 owners

I just got stationed out here in Colorado and went into a 4 wheel parts store (www.4wheelparts.com) and was pricing lifts for my truck. At first I was looking into the RCD lift but they don't carry them and won't install it if I brought it to them. They informed me that there aren't any suspension lifts available for my 05 fx4 because supposedly the Superlift won't work, on their computer it had a note from the manufacturer saying it works on all rangers except 05-up fx4. Does anyone know what needs to be changed in order to get this lift to work? Thanks

Not aware of any changes from the 04 to 05, there should have been. Mainly just cosmetic and that was not much.

4wheelparts are retards. I'd never let them touch my truck with a 10-ft. pole. That being said, the Superlift kit (SPUK-358 I believe) will fit your 05 the same as it fit my 01 and numerous other trucks from 01-07. The Ranger hasn't changed that much since then, primarily cosmetic changes If you have any wrenching ability at all, the Superlift is not a difficult kit to install. Even if you don't have any experience, get a friend or two who know a bit about it and read the instructions through a few times and you ought to be able to pull it off. I'd do it myself again before I'd let the fools at 4WP do it.

Gearhead, I am fully capable of installing the lift myself, my only problem is I live on base and there is nowhere that I could actually put it on so I'm kinda screwed and have to have someone install it for me because I don't know anyone out here that has a house where we could do it. I didn't think there were any changes in the suspension, other than the rotors being larger I've never heard anything different about the 05's than any of the older models. Damn I really want to get my truck up in the air...

My superlift knuckles were drilled for both size rotors and calipers.

I'm not sure where Ft. Carson is, but I know there are several CO members, perhaps one of them would help you out?

If you want to get the superlift kit, you can contact the Plano 4WP and get 10% off, or you can contact me. I've got the invoice from when I purchased the kit last year for a price match of an online source and got the kit for about $1275 before tax. I'm sure 4WP would honor their OWN price match.

Gearhead, I'm gonna check into the superlift, I'm also gonna go into the 4WP store and talk to someone else, the guy I talked to reminded me of someone that works at Autozone....I may get ahold of Superlift myself and see whats up with the manufacturers note on the 4WP computers...I may use that invoice if I can work something out..I'll get back to you on that, Thanks for the help.
