How are you doing the steering? High steer, crossover, or still using the inverted-y? What type of steering box?

im using the yota steering box and i guess the inverted y.its all the stock steering the axle comes with.

Why don't you steal a solid axle shaft out of a cherokee d30 instead of buying that gay *** axle lock.

because i like the idea of having 2wd high and 2wd low in addition to 4wd low,4wd high and just plain 2wd.

locking hubs...and the axle disonnect only disconnects the passenger shaft...so with an open diff your spider gears are gonna be getting it AWN while in 4wd with it disconnected..

Well man if you did research on any jeep forum you'll see that 30's explode locked with 33's, honestly i wouldn't have done all that labor just to run a **** *** d30 axle on 38.5 boggers.

not trying to bust any nuts nore start a fight on the internet but.... i will say once u get everything set up underthe front and all the bugs worked out start thinking about replaceing that D30 i have a 88 YJ jeep and busted my Dana 30 with 31 inch A/T's....but i haven't read the hole thread yet...but you could make the dana 30 very very strong with stronger axle shafts and what not but every body thats doing an SAS is doing a gopod job...cause eaither way u look at it it's a hell of alot of work and i honestly really want to see an SAS ranger in person lol.... makes me miss mine being lifted lol anyway very nice job

Even if you had a stock Dana 44 under there, I'd leave it unlocked with 38" Boggers.

I give that D30 two good offroad trips before it grenades.

yea 38's are in the d60 zone i think my 36's are going to be pushing the limit of my d44. i cant wait till i can afford a d60/70 combo
