Anybody tried these? Yes i want them cuz they look cool
They may look "cool", and if you carry a load in your Ranger frequently, they'll help.
But if most of your driving is just with an empty bed or very light loads, you will get tired of them very quickly.
They will give a very harsh ride with a lightly loaded or empty bed.

but do like to put the skinny pedal down sometimes and it would be nice to find something that would suit me.
You don't state what model Ranger you have, 2 or 4 wheel drive, ect.
Mine is a 2009 XL 2 wheel drive , base 4 cyl.
I run KYB Excel-G shocks, front and rear.
Front 344397, about 37 bucks on Amazon
Rear 344396, about 32 bucks on Amazon
KYB makes good stuff and quality is about what Bilstein is, but much cheaper.
Just depends on type of driving, load, quality your looking for. But stay away from those coil over assist shocks.
Their great for certain applications, but not for everyday use...very harsh ride when truck is empty. And on bad roads with gravel, washboard, potholes ride will be unbearable.

For my kind of driving, yes, they are decant. But mine is 2 wheel drive, and I very rarely have any type of load that weighs more than 100-150 lbs.
You may want to look at their higher end shocks for your 4x4, and driving you do. But KYB is good stuff, and not much more than the cheapies.
Used KYB for many years. Have them on a Ford E-450 based motorhome, about 40,000 miles, and still as good as new.

I have an 03 2WD XL long bed and I have the Bilsteins and they are great, I also have them on my BMWs. I carry things in the bed most of the time + I have a shell on it so that's an additional weight by itself.
Bilstein shocks have been my preferred shock for almost 50 years. KYB Gas A Just shocks are my second choice if I can't find Bilsteins for a vehicle. The KYB Excel shocks are not as firm as the Gas A Just. So if you want a softer ride, they are the way to go.
I like a firmer shock for off-road and I do a lot of it. I thought the Ford tuned Bilstein shocks that came with my 02 FX4 from the factory were a little soft. At 100K miles I installed Bilstein tuned shocks and am much happier with them.
