Ok so i am in need of balljoints both upper and lower. I am thinking about buying moogs and doing it my self... Never done balljoints before so is there much to it?

 

I thought you couldnt replace the uppers unless you buy new arms.

thats what im doing buying new upper control arms and lower ball joints... Moog sells the arms with balljoints already installed

i was just goin to say Rock auto but i can't find the whole arm there anymore....weird and FML cuz i need to buy the whole arm....on my truck since its a 99 they had a 2 piece on the passenger side upper and i think its already gone lmao...pos duralast

 

i got it from rock auto... K8710T upper control arm with balljoint right side
K8708T upper control arm with balljoint left
K8659T Lower balljoint

 

Good choice with the moog. I replaced mine with TRW and one already failed after a year. Replaced it with a moog.

 

the right side upper looks like the one i have on my truck and its a 2-piece arm.... I thought they went to 1-piece in 2001?

edit: nvm it was later on they swapped to a full 1-piece arm

 

apparently i have a one piece... didnt even think to look before i ordered lol
