Caster/Camber cant be adjusted?
Caster/Camber cant be adjusted?
I brought my 2004 Ranger Edge to a shop to get a front end alignment... they said it cannot be done with the way my truck is now because the "cams" in the upper A Arms are fixed and are not adjustable. They said I would've had to purchase a pair of parts for about $60 in order to have an alignment done (additional cost). Any truth to this? I've never heard of it. Thanks
Yes, the eccentrics cost extra but where you buy them determines how much extra. I got mine from a local parts store at about half of what you were quoted. I pulled the pivot bolts and installed them myself before taking it into the Ford dealer for an alignment.
