chevy leaf hangers

I was looking under a pals 1/2 ton today and noticed how low the hangers are from the frame.
my question is has anyone ever used the rear hangers from a chevy 1500 to keep the right height similar when doing a shackle flip?

I'm thinking of trying this out. with belltech 6400 shackles, the "lift" hangers, and 63 inch leaves, and eliminating the axle block, what sort of ride height do the thing that would achieve over stock?

I figure,
+1.5'' leaves
-1.5'' shackles
-2.5'' removal of blocks
+3-4'' for hangers (havent measured yet i'll check soon and post)

so i'm guessing to get 1/2" too 1.5" of lift here, I'm not really going for lift, more so wheel travel.

let me know what you guys think.

Kirk

yes drop hangers can be used to extend travel while retaining bedspace, or acheive m4d tyt3 travel on leaf truck in the desert. they already make sets that bolt up.

I measured the hangers today,
The chevy's are 8'' from the top bolts to the shackles eye
The ranger's are 3'' from bottom bolt to the shackle eye

So 5 inches of lift and a shacke flip. Not too bad really for just hangers.

I didnt see a price on those chromoly shackles (the first ones on the link above.), Anyone know what they run for?

with ones that long I could keep the blocks and stay roughly the same height.
