Replacement Shock Question

Replacement Shock Question
My front driver shock is busted, the top part popped out from the bottom (where the rubber boot is) probably from over extending (no sway bar). And it seems it only had 1/2" before it popped.
So now I'm looking for new front shocks, but was wondering if I can get longer ones so I have a bit more room to play. Or do I HAVE to get the stock ones and put limiting straps or my sway bar back in?
Any info is appreciated

There aren't too many options for longer front shocks besides Rancho RS5374. They're supposed to be for trucks with cranked bars/lift keys. I'd just stick with the stock shocks and throw some limiting straps on if you think that's what caused the breakage. Shocks too long will allow your lower c/a to drop too far and cause your CV joints to bind.
