Coilover Conversion Hardware
#228
Found some money again, I think (gotta clear with the wife, I'm in Iraq)
What are the chances of you just mailing the pieces out unwelded? I could do the test fit and weld here. Maybe just mark them as to how to assemble or something?

i got a few sets made, tested, and ready to be shipped out. just, in all honesty, wont get time to get them shipped out today. i was hoping to, but my truck is down so im kinda at the mercy of someone else lending me their truck and im having to get it right after work. but i will get them out as soon as possible. youll get tracking numbers as soon as i get them.
You are borrowing a truck already! Quit bein' a slacker and get this stuff sent out to these guys!
And don't park my truck in the driveway unless you want oil spots on it.
Feel free to start designin' some bolt on sliders for it too.

Well I would just like to start out by saying how patient everyone has been with the group buy. I know in my last e-mail to all of you it said that they would ship the middle of this week. Well I had to place a call into FOX yesterday because I had not received the order yet and was a little concerned; they told me they would be done and ready to ship out by now. I was told that they are still working on the order and will be finished and will be ready to ship out by Wednesday next week. Sorry for the delay, I apologize and will let you all know when they are ready to ship. If their are any questions please contact me at the information below. Check out our back to the desert sale 25% off Bilstein and 10% off Fox shocks call for some special prices for those of you part of the Ranger-Forums community.
thanks
nick
Looks like a little hold up.

I have to ask this again... Is there any other hardware we need to do this installation besides what comes in the "kit"? Bolts for example? do the bolts go through the eyelets in the schocks, or do we need bushings for them? I want to be totally ready when i get my stuff!

bolts go through the shocks. no busings. and i will be including all the nuts and bolts youll need.

I have been thinking about both the uppers and lowers.
MOOG has oversized uppers and lowers, a little pricey but while things are apart get it done. These OD Ball Joints/Arms have replaceable Ball Joints if they wear out.
I am replacing my rear springs with 6" SkyJacker Leaf Springs, more to get rid of the blocks but I figured let start out with all new stuff.

Since install is probably coming up soon for most of us doing the C/O conversion I have a question. Are there supposed to be bushings or something on either side of the C/O or just a gap like in the pic? If there is supposed to be a gap how much of one? Just seems like a gap would let it bash around some and slide back and forth. (same question goes for the bottom mount as well)

on mine, since i have the actual rcd stuff, i put washers in there to fill the gap. the ones ive been making, ive been making just a tad bit wider than the fox coilovers with misalignment spacers. so they will fit almost perfectly
