creaking and groaning in reverse when steering...
My Ranger has started to make creaking and groaning noises when I back down the driveway or out of parking spots and I turn the steering wheel. I don't see anything obviously wrong with the suspension or steering system. I replaced the shocks and upper and lower ball joints last spring, and those parts all appear to be in good condition. Any ideas what it might be? It is only noticeable when I reverse and steer.
Right now I'm experiencing the same thing; it's most likely your LCA bushings. Take a look to see if they're cracked. You can lube them up for a temporary fix. By temporary, I mean you'll have to spray them pretty frequently.
