I think it is an Edge thing. It's the problem of having what is basically the 4x4 suspension geometry on a 4x2, and the bigger brakes.

 

Did you guys have to relocate the brake line brackets attached at the frame?

Yes, then I took a piece of rubber tubing, slit it and put it around the brake line where it goes through the original bracket. Then I put hose clamps on either side that keep the rubber tubing on, and secure the line so it can't saw up and down in the bracket. Works great.

 

The Edge have the same suspension geometry as the 4x4, and use a different spindle than you did on yours. It's DEFINITELY an Edge thing.
