As I am slowing down I am hearing a popping noise comming from the passenger side near the wheel. Sounds like it did before I had my lower balljoints replaced, what is the life expectancy on these things? That was done about 5-6 months ago. After reading Stevens thread I must ask on 2wd could it be the tie-rod ends or the upper balljoints? Remember go easy I have no mechanical skiiz whatsoever. I have 8000 miles left under warranty. I just dont want to take it in and sound stupidier than I do here LOL. Any suggestions or ideas to minimize my stupidity would be appreciated.

Lol this is a fun subject. I had that poping noise for about 3 months and from dealer to dealer I got a different story from tie-rod ends to upper ball joints. About 4 days ago I got my spindles replaced by fabtech 3'' lift spindles and t-bars lowered and the noise went away. I asked 4wp to check for any broken worn out parts but they found nothing. I have no advice for you but get fabtech spindles and it will magicaly go away.

 

did you have the uppers done at the same time?

 

Its most likely the uppers, mine popped than they started squeaking horribly.

 

Well every since I put the new rims on I have had a new "squeaking" noise when go over speed bumps and dips in the road, the popping noise started about 2 weeks ago, I have the rims about 6 months? Could this be a combined problem?
