Don't you need a 6 inch SL to be running 33's?

uh, no.. ive got 35's and a 4" SL.. it rubs when i flex and at full lock, but not at normal driving.

EDIT: your truck is older, it is different, with the older ones, i do believe you need more lift.

your truck will be just as capable with 33's, your only losing an inch of clearance at the most

A few weeks ago. I was getting so tired of the regular cab Dodge that I just couldn't take it anymore. Got a good deal, so I went with the Chevy. Hopefully this will last for more then a year, cause I don't think I can pay it off in that amount of time, LOL!

Anyway, END THREAD HACK!

Thanks Camodown, the more and more i think about it, i think that i want to go down to 33's, and not put on the BL.. there was a ranger in town ( i am in the states on leave), although it was an older one, it had 33's, a cattle gaurd, light bar, and it was pure SEX! the exact look/feel that i want.. But im not only going for the looks, i also want capability, and the more i talk to people, the more i start to think that putting the BL on is actually going to make my truck less capable because its going to be so top-heavy..

According to TRS's tech guide on tire fitment, 33's should be OK with a 4 inch SL.

Of course I do! No need to sell a truck I couldn't get what I paid for out of. It just doesn't run at the moment.

From what I can figure, it's got a bent valve. I have most of the engine ready to come apart, just too lazy to take the head off. It's been sitting in front of my garage for about two months now waiting for me to do it, lol.

Not much. I think another member had almost the same problem, and spent like $250 or something. I'm not really worried about the money, I've just been kinda busy, and haven't had the motivation to fix it seeing as how I've got another rig to drive anyway.

I get absolutely no rubbing at all with 33"s and a superlift. Ive had it flexed out pretty much to the max and everything was fine. I would assume with 35"s, you should be double lifted to keep it from rubbing (super and body lift)

and I would bet money that if you really flexed it out, your tires would rub, especially in the rear

I haven't seen the back rub yet. But I don't wheel often (hard to find a placea around here)

yes, to not rub with 35's you have to be double lifted, this is why i am opting to get rid of my 35's and go with 33's

I put my ranger and sport trac though all kind of crap with 33's, you will be just fine.
A locker will get you a lot further than an extra inch of clearance.
