finally, somebody else that doesnt think you HAVE to have a body lift on top of the superlift to fit 35s. i wheel the crap out of mine with 35s and only the SL

shadow965- haha nope, dont have to have a double lift to fit the 35's. although it does rub quite a bit.

okie dokie! let me help you out..
i have had experience with all of these types of set-ups.. so ill give you the pros and cons of each!

4" SL & 33x12.5" tires --
PROS: good proportional, looks really good, handles well on the road. all around great truck set up.. perfect for your DD - you can get away with stock gearing
CONS: rockers can get damaged really easily because of no BL, 33s sometimes just dont cut it! the 33s sometimes get lost in the soft stuff

4" SL + 3" BL & 33x12.5" tires
PROS; tons of room for flex, absolutley no rubbing,
CONS; feels like truck is gona flip over on every turn! super unstable "feeling"

4" SL + 3" BL & 35x14.5" tires
PROS: can clear just about anything, rockers are out of the way, super stable, get through the mud just fine,
CONS; gas milage down the sh!tter, MUST re-gear. the larger tires starts the wear balljoints, TRE's, bearings etc... UBER FAST!!! - can create the 'death wobble'

4" SL & 35's
FORGET ABOUT IT!!!

i went with the double lift and the 35x14.5 wide tires, cause it gives me the stability feeling of havin 33s. i think that the 12.5s are simply too narrow but thats just me!

sometimes i wish i had 33s because of the practicallity, but 35s are just SO SICK!!!

yah. sliders for sure!! i thought i read a post of someone having trouble moutning them because of not having a BL... something to do with the frame to body relation height... i dont even know.. with a BL its super easy for sliders...

im about to post up pics of my truck with all the 3 options from above

hahah 08xlt4x4..
carl- thanks! i have the 4"sl with 35's right now.. not practical AT all.. lol.. have the bl sitting in the truck waiting to be put on.. BUT, id have to cut my valance to keep the tow hooks, chop the hell out of my cattle gaurd to keep it, and the Center of Gravity would be pretty high..

Its already re-geard to 4.56, so its pretty much stock power wise, but gets pretty ****ty mileage..

Im thinking that the 33's, some sliders, a roll bar( or light bar) in the bed with 4 KC's, and the cattle gaurd with 2KC's will pretty much achieve the look and function i am going for..

lol, that was my dumbass... haha. you just gotta angle the ends of the bars that weld to the frame so they can stick out below the body. you cant go straight out since there isnt enough frame that hangs below the body when you dont have a body lift.

all im running is a body lift and 33's, and its extremely capable IMO for what it is

can't go wrong with 33's. idk your gearing, but im sure it'll help you power wise a bit as well.

stock b bars, about to to go number ones, still though i have no rubbing with 1 inch spacers, have you considered that?? where are you rubbing?? i used to rub sway bar at full lock but that was it, keep in mind i have stock rims, are you running 15x10 or 15x8??

my truck was capable as hell with 33s! aslo you gotta remember its not alll about size BIG MISCONCEPTION!!! if you have GReAT tires, you can get through a tons of stuff! i had 33 bfg ATs, and if they rubbed it was soft ad didnt really hurt, but the super swamper TSL rubb HARD cause of the lugs... so tires are a big part...

4 inch lift with 33/s MT and good TIRES will get you through almost anything!
