Ford Ranger Sport 2006 Slam

I want to slam my 06 ford ranger sport. Problem tho it has front torsion bars and not coils. it will be my first big mod on the truck unless i wait. and i really want this to get done. Can u guys explain to me how to do it or suggest how too. Also can u please point out parts i may need. Tools, time and money are not a problem, i have a full shop to work on it all. Please help me out.

Bought the WRONG truck to slam....

Here's the cure.....

Honestly, you can get the truck to about the height of a 2/2 lowered coilspring truck up front. Lowering keys or '08+ keys will get you about a 2" drop up front. Or going coil-over to handle awesome and pinching lower arm and correcting for a good balljoint angle and custom uppers. 2" or so is about it as far as lowering a torsion bar truck. That's it without major work. Major work like Z-ing the frame, running custom engine x-member and custom a-arms and coil-overs.

Isn't there an issue with the A/C clearance as well? I've been debating dropping mine as well, but it seems like a huge task.

ive never heard of ac issues, but to properly slam an edge or sport, you need to ditch the tbars and go coilovers. big $$$

I can't speak for everyone, but I just like the look. You're right though, it is kinda quirky. I don't think I'd do it for several reasons, but I was toying with the idea.

X2 ... Sell it and get a 2WD Ranger with the 1998 + or 2001 + SLA front suspension or just trade me :-)

I don't think it's a 4X4, I think he just has the torsion bar suspension.
