need to slam door to close right

Hi all I have an 01 xlt 4 door. It seems like I have to slam the doors to close them right. like excessively. also I have wind noise in the cabin it almost sounds like its coming from the windshield. Ive seen a couple of threads about the window seal and something about silicone. but not sure of the details.

grab your door at the very bottom of the skin, and very top of the frame.
Wiggle up and down. If you've got a lot of play, you need new door hinges

I checked the doors for play today no play what so ever. Its pretty tight... lol that's what she said.. I don't seem to have to throw the door so hard with the windows down.

if its pretty tight, then close your door and look at the gap on the top of the door. If its quite large you may need to bend your hinges upward a bit. to bend them (ever so slighty) grab your door in the same fashion, and heave. but not too crazy hard, just in tiny increments until your door closes better.
