How to tell if I have the 'High Rider' package?

Hi, I just bought a 91 Ranger STX 4x4 a few weeks ago and I heard that they made a 'High Rider' package for these. How could I tell if my truck came with this package?

Thanks

/Brian

As I recall, Ford stopped the High Rider package after the 89 or 90 model year.

nope buddy's 4x4 STX manual 2.3L had the high rider package. the only thing that sucks is aftermarket company's dont make replacement shocks and thinks like that for them anymore because such a low demand they stoped about a year ago you owuld have to get like skyjacker **** now unfortunatly

What model year was your buddies STX? I know in 89 the only engine available in the STX was the 2.9L V6.

I replaced the shocks twice in my 89 STX over the nearly 200,000 miles that I drove it. Many after-market shock companies did not make shocks for the High Rider but Heckethorn did. I would not be surprised if other shock companies also made them. Once I found Heckethorn, I stopped looking.

could you not use bigger shocks like for a 4x4 or from something newer thats high in the rear like edges and the 4x4's I mean they havent changed the rear suspension since the truck came out really? What does the highrider have in the rear to make it higher just blocks?

stiffer springs and blocks yes and i would imagine the rear shocks would work but fronts wont would have to order like skyjacker lift shocks
