Installing the 4/5

Well, today i dug into my truck to install the 4/5. I got there at 7:30 this morning and started tearing it apart waiting for my dad to get there and help. About 2 hours later, he calls telling me he got called into work. I was pretty pissed, but i thought i could get it on my own. So, i got everything together, but was having problems getting the spring to stay on the lower control arm while i jacked it up to put on the lower castle nut on the spindle. I tried a couple of different ways and had no luck, so about 11:30, i gave up and had my wife come pick me up and i went home. We went to get some lunch and it struck me on how i could do it. i took everything apart so the spindle was only holding on by the brake lines and i held the spring in with my foot while my wife jacked it up. Got it all together on the driver side now, but thats all i felt like doing. I still have the rear and the passenger side, but it shouldnt take to long to do those.

My roll pan is still being painted. It should have been done Friday, but they havent even started it. Not sure when I will get the notch put into my truck. Hopefully soon. Everything should be complete on my truck around mid june, i hope.

I am taking pictures of the process and will get some up after i am done.

Sounds good to me and im sure it's gonna look good complete! Be sure to get those pics up as soon as u have em. Once u get the 4/5 in and the notch I bet within a few months time we see a topic from u sayin ur wantin or gettin bags. Oh yea be sure not to scrape up the bottom of ur bumper up to bad with that low rider

Your axle now how close is it to the frame with just the 2/3 drop? Cuz I remember the notch u got is the same as Scott's from suicidedoors gives u like 2-3" more clearence right? Once u drop the rear down more do u think that notch will be enough or will u have to go with a bigger one to allow for the extra inches ur dropping it? Cuz mine with the rear down 5" it hits the frame if im going to fast over any dips in the road and mine is like 1-1 1/2" away from the frame and mine sits up higher being an Edge then yours would so thats what I was getting at.
