Like title says i just did a slight crank and put my 33's on, Clear "OK" Great on driver side, but on the passenger side there is slight rubbing on the plasic piece behind tire " Goes where mud flaps go" But the driver side has plenty of clearence there, but everything else seems to be the same, cranked the same amount of times, same height measurement, just that one spot seems off.. Any ideas? Or is this normal ( Doubt it)

Thanks, Josh

You can remove that plastic piece. I did. I remember others saying it doesn't affect anything if you take it off.

*possible BS alert*

Ive always known that rangers tend to sag one side or another. Mine dips to the drivers side about an inch lower than the passenger. Now I am coil sprung etc but the principle may still apply, the passenger Tbar may have already sagged more than driver and cranking them just exposed it more. Im not sure if this is correct, crank passenger just a little more to attempt to even it out, then get it aligned and sit in the bay and watch them and tell them you worked on the front end a lot just my .02cents

if anything i think it would sag more on the drivers side. Thats where all the extra weight is.

Well, youd think lol.. Also is it normal for the driver side to not be able to crank as much? I got maybe 4 turns out of my driver side bolt, and id guess the passenger side would be good for about 14 lol, seriously, it was barley in there, it was hanging below the cover when i started...

Ya the drivers side is cranked more from the factory to offset the weight. Mine was the same way.

My drivers side is maxed and i just cranked the passenger side until it was the same height as the driver. I didn't count "turns"

your ebrake cable runns behind the inner fender and is cased in a very hard plastic that pushes against the backside of inner fender. That in turn bumps it out just that little bit extra to rub the tire when turning. If you look from under the truck you will see what I mean. Get som HD tie straps and strap in back to the body mount. should relieve the situation enough to stop the rub?

lol.

Yeah, you can take the little black plastic piece off. I dont see it's purpose actually. When I took mine off, it was FULL of wet mud and stuff. It covers up a portion of the body, so it looks like a potential for rust later on.

Thanks, Josh

What wheels? Sizes?

What specific size tires?

I've always been a big believer in 33's on stock = NO. 32x11.50's were big enough to really do some body damage to mine back in the day if driven by a bafoon(me).

That "flap" folks are talking about, covers the lower fender bolt. It's to provide a more finished look.

Why is one side rubbing and the other isn't? It's pretty simple really.....passenger side inner fender has a bump in it that the driver's side doesn't. Why? Heater/AC system.

I run 33x10.50 on stock susp and wheels. Zero rubbing the whole 2 years ive had them. 12.50s on MT Classic 15x8s rubbed slightly.
