lift on 2002 ranger

Hey I have a 2002 ford ranger XLT and I was wondering what would be the best way to lift it for the lowest price. Any ideas?

Performance accessories is the most popular choice. I have one sitting on the floor waiting to be put on

And I've had mine installed for a few years. No trouble out of it at all. Just make sure you retorque the bolts after a few hundred miles of driving.

Body lift is by far the best bang for your buck, suspension work gets pricey fast

just get the summit racing brand body lift. its made by performance accessories at a lower cost (just because its rebadged as summit racing) and its the same exact thing. it even comes with performance accessories brand thread locker.

I used a kit for 98-00 model year rangers on my 2004. it was cheaper than the one "made for" my 2004. Rangers haven't changed (aside adding 2 extra bed bolts for a total of 8 on later years) so there was no point in spending more money for the same thing lol

It can be done in a day. I split mine up into 2 days and did it myself in 13hrs total between the two days

What kit did you use?
Anything different you would do?

Thanks,

Refer to post 9 in this thread.

Nothing negative to say about the kit and I've done 3 lifts so no, there's nothing I think I would do differently

But seriously OP, everything you've been told in this thread, in addition to the body lift help thread, is all you need to know about body lifts. There isn't much to them at all.

Just read through the instructions before starting. Gives you a good idea of what tools you'll need, and what all you gotta do.

I did mine myself in about 15 hours, spread over then course of a week. Outside in the rain, with no air/impact gun. All hand tools.

Not hard at all, just takes some time.
