I started on lifting the rear of my truck tonight, but I'm running into a few issues. I can't seem to grip the round head of the leaf spring bolt to remove the nut off the other end without it spinning. Any ideas? Or could I just grind it off and drive the bolt out the other way?

Also, does it matter what way the Belltech 6400's face? I've seen on some trucks they face the same direction as the stock shackles and on others they are reversed.

 

the shackles can go either way.

im not too sure about the bolt but im sure you can grind it off of there and put a grade 8 bolt in its place

 

It's actually the center bolt in the leaf (the one with the round head on the bottom that fits into the lift block and that holds the leaves together). I just want to make sure that there won't be any problems with grinding it off, to see if it will just tap out the other side...

 

I have new ones that came with the AAL so that part isn't a big deal.

 

if you have knew ones then just grind the old ones off
