Lift kit for 1996 Ranger 2WD

Hi all. I have a 1996 ford ranger supercab 2wd. I want to lift it about 3". I am not trying to go offroad with it I just think it looks like a dinky little truck sitting so low to the ground like that. I had a 1999 ranger 2wd that I put a spindle lift on and it looked great and did not effect the ride or alignment. My 96 has a different suspension under the front that is different from the 99 I had. My question is...What is the cheapest way to lift the truck other than a body lift. I have researched and I keep seeing these coil spacers but they only lift it about 2". If I were to use these would I need anything else besides an alignment? Is there a cam bushing that I have to buy or adjust with the spacers? I know I can lift the rear with the lift blocks. Any other Ideas? Thanks.
