lowering my 2000 ranger
lowering my 2000 ranger
i cant decide on which kit i should go with, i am new to lowering trucks. my truck is stock its ext. cab 2wd and i haul my race quad with it so i dont know which kit to go with.. I am stuck between the 2/3 and the 4/5 drop kits..will the the 4/5 drop kit be too low to haul my quad to races? so should i will a 2/3 kit be the better way to go?? i have stock rims and tire sizes too
go with 4/5 if you start off with the 2/3 you'll want to go lower eventually its just a matter of time and save yourself the hassle instead of having to buy the control arms later on and have to tear apart the truck again and then have to buy another alignment..
Go 4/5 you can still haul stuff just use airshocks out back and when you want to haul put some air in them.

where is the best place to order the 4/5 kit?? anyone got any pics of a 4/5 kit with stock rims and tires??? i heard that my tires would rub and i would need wheel spacers in the front with stock tire size because there too wide? well i need new front tires anyways tho..does the djm lowering kit come with the air shocks because that seams like the most popular kit to go with but i duno give me your opinions

You will be fine with stock rims on the truck but you will need to get a smaller diameter tire as the stock 27 inch 225/70/15 will rub badly. No need for spacers or any of that on stock rims.
Also air shocks or any shock does not come with the kit you have to order them seperately.
why would it run badly with stock tires?? and that truck looks exactly how i want mine to i am gonna go with the 4/5 kit and if you dont mind me asking which kit is on that truck and where did you get it from??
That was the DJM 4/5 with the upper and lower djm arms and coils and flipkit out back, I purchased it from styling concepts because their buisness is like 10 mins from my house.
My truck is a bit lower now as I switched the 2 inch DJM drop coils out for 3 inch belltechs in the front and I flipped the rear hangers for more drop out back so Im sitting at 5/7 now but as those pics show above that is 4/5
+1 on the 4/5 with air shocks
i wasted my money on my f150 with a 3/4 when i should have gone with a 4/6... even though i bagged it later on haha.
not sure on the rangers, but you may have to remove the plastic inner fender or trim it alot so it doesnt rub the tire or get torn off..

with the 5/7 Im running a 235/45/17 and I dont rub at all.

dude, im getting into racing quads myself and im LIFTING from being lowered. I moved a yfz 450 in my ranger, and it was a nightmare (my trucks lowered 3/4).
Explain how it was a nightmare? You still retain a stock load you can carry since you keep the stock leafsprings.
and notice how we mentioned airshocks, yeah they will make a difference if he wants to haul something.
Lowering Ford ranger
I got a ? For ether mark98xlt or anyone that can answer it. I got a 2000 ranger I did the 3” drop coil up front and now thinking of doing the djm a arms but they are saying to run there 2” coil for the alignment purposes but if I was to run my 3” coil can I still pull alignment ? I have after market camber already on there?
