No replacment parts, just loosen the torsion bar adjuster bolt until you are satisfied. If you can't get as low as you like, then you can pull off the keys and flip them. If you have a 4x4, the CV's won't allow you to go very low.

Best you can do is uncrank the t-bars.

Best solution: remove the t-bars and get coilovers.

I don't think the CVs will ever really be a problem going lower. I know lifted guys run into issues maxing out the CVs. I guess I could be wrong since I haven't done it yet... but the coilovers should be soon so once I get those, I'll let you know.

I think the CV's start binding somewhere around 5 inches of drop. Lower than anyone on this site has gone with a 4x4. I'm sure some Explorer guys would know. You should find out for us.

Haha... well I'm hoping to go to something similar to a 4/5 drop once I get the Coilovers mounted... so I'll find out for sure. Ordered up the brackets today... now just need to start measuring...

Anyway, enough thread hi-jack for today.

You'd have to talk to someone else about the keys. Never messed with that.

Second, there isn't a coilover kit.

A member (shadow905) on here is making brackets for mounting coilovers onto the stock shock towers (welding required). His application is more for lifted street trucks, but no reason why a smaller coilover wouldn't fit a lowered truck. After I get those brackets, I'm going to have to do some measuring and figure out where I want my ride height so that I can make sure to get the proper length. I will be documenting it as I go (it'll be in my Road Ranger thread, see my sig for a link).

Check out his build thread. His truck is pretty sweet.

95offroadx has a dropped 03 4x4 with 17x9's up front, 17x10's in the back. It also is pretty sweet.

Some pics and specs in that thread, and here is a pic from another site.

He is running different size tires front and back, rendering 4x4 useless. If you want to use 4x4, you will have to use the same size tire front and rear.
