In the US, 2011 was the last year of the Ranger. Are you somewhere else (I know virtually nothing about the international version of the Ranger) or is it possible you're confused on the year?

I've got an 05 2.3L manual that I haul a 17' fiberglass ski boat with during the summer. I did put HD springs on the back, so she doesn't sag anymore, but if you don't want to spend the few hundred dollars on a new spring pack, they make a coil spring helper spring that you can add in for pretty cheap. Just take it slow, and brake early, and you should be ok.
