A Ventura County meet sounds SWEET!! If thats the case, once PA sends me my lift, I'll post a thread on a potential meet and see where it ends up!
whatever you do , don't pay someone else to install it .
I have basicaly no experience working on cars and i can do the body lift ....its really easy just read the instructions on trs repeatedly and ask questions on here till you get it figured out .myself and alot of others on here are willing to answer your questions.
there is the price factor and also u don't want someone else to do it cuz if something goes wrong they might not fix it properly. they will probably be careless taking apart your interior and such .... its better to know exactly what has been done IMHO.
if you don't have tools it will still be WAYYYYY cheaper to buy every single tool needed then to pay 4 wheel parts .when its done you will have tools that will last a long time and a sense of accomplishment instead of an empty bank account.

Body lifts are very, very easy.
Just take your time...it seems like a daunting project until you've finished it, just make sure you buy twice as much beer as you alotted for.
I'll be doin' a 2" on this truck, I have done a total of six or seven, including building my own blocks from black pipe and welding washers on and weldiing to the frame body mounts. I think my suburban was the toughest, did it solo in about 5 hours.
I like two inch lifts as you can usually get by not having to add a gas filler extension and little to no mod on the floor shifters, less gap on the front bumper if you choose not to move it, less gap under the bed/back...also if you have a receiver hitch, it doesn't look too bad there.

I really want to do it myself...cuz completeing that task would be a n HUGE accomplishment. The only problem is that I have zero experience with that kind of work. Hopefully so of the ranger boys from my area can meet up and we can figure it out together! Looks like another socal meet coming up here soon!!!
