Popping noise in front end

When sitting still or driving, there is like a popping noise when you turn the wheel back and forth. Even worse when you sitting still and turn the wheel. Its coming from the driver's front side. This is on my coil sprung '99. The balljoints are only 2 years old and they check out fine. The outer tie rod was replaced at the same time as the ball joints. The shocks need to probably be replaced but I don't think its the noise. The sway bar link is about a year old and is nice and tight. Any thoughts?

I am gonna try and take a video of it later so you guys can hear. I have heard some people say it could be the isolator for the coil spring? Is there anyway to check that other than taking the coil spring out?

Thanks guys

^ I saw that. What "links" were loose? You talking about sway bar links?

I got underneath it a while back and had my dad turn the wheel. It sounded like it was coming from the spring area.

While you are at it, take off the boots and check the u-joints on your front axle and make sure there is enough grease.
