I used to have a jeep wrangler and installed a budget boost kit, it was 2.25" blocks that went under the coils, and the kit came with new suspension it was cheap in the $200 ranger I think. Is there something like this for the ranger? Or do I have to do the 3" body lift?

 

Is your truck a 4x4? If so your best bet is a 3in BL. If its a 4x2 your best bet is probably a spindle lift.

 

You have torsion bars so you can crank them up. Do a search on 'cranking torsion bars' and you'll find tons and tons of info. And its free!

 

Body lift is cheaper both ways, can be had for $130 from Summit

 

I agree. I think spindle lifts do look better. They show less frame etc...

For a 4x4 truck a BL is a pretty good way to go.

 

I agree with 4x4, but when you have step bars (like the OPs truck has) it hides the frame. Just my opinion though.

Why are you asking suspension questions when you have a clutch to replace first?

 

lol the truck is in the shop, My uncle works at a ford dealership he is the service writer and is having it done at his rate, which is 50$ an hour instead of the 110$ an hour that customers are charged. This way it is being done by ford certified techs and I will get a warranty on the clutch.
I am just making future plans for my truck though, and it is a 4wd and when I get my truck back Ill take pictures and see if you guys think the tbars have already been cranked, because to me the front looks pretty level with the back.

 

crank t-bars and then for the rear do an add a leaf or shackle.
