Ranger Edge/ XLT Lowering Sticky?

I know you dont see to many threads as much as lifting but I do notice maybe like once a week theres somebody asking to lower and edge maybe we can make a sticky with all the previous information on this forum because I know there were some good threads and combine it all into one thread so people dont have to make continous new threads asking How they can lower their edge/ xlt ranger.

I Do not know to much about lowering edges because of the whole torsion bar deal but I can do a write up and basic information on lowering 98+ Control arm rangers and I do know a little information and the basics on lowering 2wd 83-97 Ibeamers.

What do you guys think?

Anything you dont know I can fill in buddy.

For 83-97:

3" Drop Ibeams are offered by:
DJM
Belltech
Chassis Tech/AIM
and a few others

If you are planning on bagging the ibeamed ranger in the future, invest in the DJM beams, as they will make for less notching when the front goes down.

Also 2 in drop springs:
DJM
Belltech
ChassisTech

Belltech also carries a 3in drop spring, however this may or may not be alignable.

As far as the back, all rangers, and mostly trucks in general are the same.
for rangers, I will list drops, and how to accomplish them:

1in: splash leaf in the back
2in: Flipped hangers/drop leaf
3in: Drop leaf/Flipped hanger with a splash leaf
4in: Flip kit for 7.5 axle/flipped hanger with a drop leaf
5in: Flip kit and a (1 in block/splash leaf)
6in: Flip kit and (flipped hanger/drop leaf/2in block)
7in: Flip kit and 3 in block. etc
