98 ranger needs new shackles and shackle brackets. how would i go about fixing it? it is simple? i no jack the *** end up then ether turn out or cut the brackets off. anyone got any methods or tricks? any special tools? any advice and/or vids to help me out it would greatly be appriated

Are you keeping suspy stock? if not, nows a good time to decide.Either way, you'll be cutting off the old hangers and running grade 8 bolts through your new hangers. This is a common replacement on these trucks and I find it to be a fun project. Not much room for tricks on this project..just be sure the shackles and hangers arn't under pressure of holding the truck or axle and its a good ol' fashion cut or torch, and bolt-on the new.
