Shock/Coil Tower Question

Stripped my 1987 Ranger down to the frame, but still have the front and rear suspension attached. I noticed the passenger side shock/coil tower needs to be removed to be treated for rust. I see that I will have to grind off the studs to remove, but what is suggested for reattaching the piece to the frame?

Drill holes in the frame where the studs used to be and run bolts down. Attach the shock absorber with nuts to the bolts, same as you would with the studs.
