Shock Dilemma

So my shocks are bad, real bad. Ive been looking online, and have found some decent deals on KYB’s, I know from my searches that most of you fellas like Billsteins, I do too but they’re just not in the budget at the moment.

I found a full set of 4 KYB Excel-G shocks, but there’s a side note stating these are not for Hi-Ryder or FX4 or FX4 with Billsteins. So I looked at other shocks then quickly found that every single shock I looked at had the same warning! I have a 2003 XLT 4x4 4.0 W/fx4 I don’t think it’s an fx4II (how do you tell?) so how the heck do I know which shocks work? This is strange.

This is the part number from the ad. Does anyone know from experience of these will fit?

2 Front 341302 Shocks Kyb
2 Rear 344079 Shocks Kyb

I ended up buying and installing KYB Gas-A-Just on all 4 corners. It rides phenomenal. Not too stiff, not too soft.
