Shocks...

When a truck is lifted with lift spindles the only thing that changes is the position of the spindle. Since my truck is spindle lifted am I correct in my assumption that nothing in the way of suspension parts changes? Stock shocks should be fine I think. I'd also like to get information on shocks for my Ranger Edge.? I'd like to get the largest tube and the largest rod I can find in a shock...

Any Suggestions.

Thanks.

You are correct in your assumption. Not sure about tube and rod sizes but bilsteins are pretty good. I like mine anyhow

You are right. Stock length shocks for a spindle lift. Spindle lift only moves the wheel bearings location down. Everything else stays the same.

As for a larger tube shock, I'm unaware of anything short of something crazy expensive designed for the off-road racing world.

Another for the Bilstein movement! I ran their "Heavy Duty" line of shocks when I was stock height from 30k-70k and love 'em. The HD line are yellow and blue and not outrageously priced either. One of the more expensive stock length shocks out there, but not cheap either.

Neat little tidbit: your Edge shares the same shocks with a 4x4. Some sites list shocks for a 4x4 but don't list them for a 2wd torsion bar truck. You can play with search terms and come up with more shock options and they'll still fit.
