or you could swap in some 63" chev springs. maybe $70 for the pair. just a thought.

where do you get torsion bars? mine are way saggy to the point it cant be properly aligned. how much should i expect to pay?

sorry, i dont mean to thread jack, just seems along the same lines.

He would need lifted Chevy springs and they cost more than $70 a pair, not to mention they ride rough.

why would he need lifted chevy springs? stock ones give around 2.5" and if he threw on some 6400's he should be fine. i got about 5" from that combo without running the bottom two leafs in the chevy pack and it rides smoother than my stock springs and block.

Ever think he "might" not have the skills or tools to do a Chevy spring swap?

I assume he has thought about the Chevy springs as long as he has been around; i would say it is a safe bet he was seen/read info on them and obviously doesn't want to run them since that was not one of his choices.

I got a quote from Alcan for 4" lift springs for the BII. They want $215 for each spring.

i have thought about the chevy springs and i didn't want them because of what i have heard about the ride quality... the ones gil had suggested are worth looking into... most likely im just going to go with the skyjacker springs though

The Chevy springs ride a tad rough on an extended cab 4.0; I couldn't imagine how rough they would be on a single cab short wheel base 3.0

I think they ride great (better than stock) but if you are worried you can just remove a couple leafs. no big deal.
