spring pearches

where is the best place to but the leaf spring pearches to mount on the top of the explorer 8.8?

Ebay or you can order some from a 4x4 shop. Or though one of our Preverred Vendors.... RuffStuffSpecialties.com sells a swap kit.

that looks like a pretty good idea, but i would be a little worried about all the force on just a few welds holding the axle on

"just a few welds" ? They should be fully welded on each side of each perch. Look at your stock axle.....they are done that way too.....
