Suspension Lift on '98 XLT
Suspension Lift on '98 XLT
I'm looking to put a 3-4 in suspension lift on my 1998 Ranger XLT in order to fit 33" 12.5" tires. Any advice on Brand of lift, etc? I have heard that after around 20k miles with a lift the front driveshaft goes out on a lot of Rangers, however I'm not postitive if there is much truth in this claim. Any help is appreciated, this is going to be a spring project for me and a buddy. Thanks.
body lift for 3in, or RCD (if you can find it) or superlift for a ~4in. assuming you're 4wd though.
Yes its true about the front shaft. But some get lucky and last a long time, or some aren't so luckand they don't last a long time.

I have 4wd and I was looking at superlift as my first option, just seeing if there was any cheaper alternatives. I would prefer not to do a body lift since I also take my truck up for hunting and wheeling (to an extent) and would like the extra flex as well. I also looked at the after market shafts from superlift and they sound like a necessary evil.
