suspension lift thoughts

here's what i'm wondering, if i were to get a superlift, kit, but only put the t-bar portion on (or buy the one that is forsale on here somewhere...) that would lower my t-bars, and make my wheels lower, but keep the diff in the same spot...

is this logic wrong? i know it would kill the cv's i'm just thinking out loud here... does this sound right though?

what would you be trying to accomplish by doing it that way? You would still need to drop the lower arms and use the taller knuckles. And yes it would destroy your CVs.

what i am thinking, is if i move just the tortion bars, it will make the a-arms act like it had a t-bar crank, but still give the smooth ride of the superlift suspension lift... and then deal with the CV issue later, i know something i could do, but i don't think any of you guys like that idea, so i won't say it...

cv's aside though, it would lift my front end, wouldn't it?

you wouldn't be able to drop the torsion bars without dropping the LCAs and using the superlift knuckles as well. The bars would be to low to go through the control arms. Would be physically impossible.

you couldnt put "just" the t-bar drop brackets on....u have to lower the UCA's so every thing stays in line....and that means u have to put the spindle in....but i assume u could do all that and not drop the diff and take ur cv shafts out....they wouldnt b able to turn at all at that steep of an angle....but u might be able to get some high angle cv's...similar to what DBR gives u but shorter...hmmm

Why would you want to put basically the whole superlift on without dropping the diff? You would only be hurting yourself by not dropping the diff.

I wonder the same thing. It's basically all or nothing, don't just piece it together.

i don't like things hanging down, granted the t-bars are going to be an issue, getting hung up on things, but the diff carrier is 1 more thing that i can get out of the way... know what i mean? if it's physically impossible, i won't bother trying...

You don't have to worry about the differential. The crossmember's hang lower than it does. You'll get hung up on the torsion bar drop brackets more than anything else.
