Various superlift noises?

I'm aware of the superlift clunk.. I also have a slight rattling noise and a creak/groan....do the crappy endlinks ever make those kinds of noises?

I've not heard a peep out of mine. Except I can hear ball joint popping in and out of the lower control arm when I'm twawked the hell out. I kinda messed that joint up a while back. lol.

Unbolt your links, take 'em out, and flip your sway bar up so it's facing vertically. See if the problem sounds continue.

With the endlinks gone what will retain the limit straps? Just bolt that sucker in?

ummm....I dont have limit straps. They didn't start including them til early '08ish or so. You'll be alright...it's not like your long traveling it for a few days right?

I suppose you can leave the endlinks on the LCA's, just flip the sway bar up...that way you can keep your straps.

ya i got the same problem with my super lift. if it is the sway bar end links rattling. take out the bottom nut put in a nice think washer and hen put the nut back on. that will get ride of your rattling. If it is the sway bar end links. As for the gear grinding i have no clue how to fix that.

i never installed the straps, where do they bolt up on both sides? I also probably bought a lift w/ straps that was pre 08.

Also I got rid of sway bar. I prefer driving a truck that feels like a boat.

i had the same noise... unbolted the endlinks took the sway bar off the truck... been driving like that for a week no noise. I got some grade 8 bolts and bolted my limiting straps to the LCAs and shock tower.... truck rides GREAT

Just to let you guys know... I talked to a superlift rep and he told me that the endlinks HAVE to be bolted to 37 foot pounds NOTHING more or the endlinks will get pulled out since its a floating ball in the link. He said that alot of people just hit it with a impact hammer and dont relize that it damages the end link

The creaking noise is actually the shock. I believe it is some dirt or something stuck in the heim joint on the shock. I sprayed some grease on it and it quieted down some. I'm gonna pull the shock out of the tab and lube the **** out of it. I have fox 2.0 shocks btw
