Hey I installed summit BL maybe a month ago and since that time i get this weird "TOK" sound coming of my rear right ( when you're sitting in the truck) body mount and I only occur when I turn right... Any ideas? I have no clue really how body mount works its on my ford ranger edge 2001 2wd 3.0L

 

I can feel it all the way to the driver side. You hear it and feel it on the floor of the truck.. Quite scary to be honnest lol

 

Double check that all the bolts are still tight. Did you do a retorque after you drove on it for a bit?

 

Yeah i did but i guess I'll try to heat it and torque it back. Should I heat it tho?

 

Sometimes on those kits, certain bolts have longer threads. Some meant for the cab, others meant for the bed. I made the same mistake of putting the wrong bolt in the cab and hearing the same noise. If you pull the bolt out you can take it to a machine shop to find the same bolt with a longer thread so you can tighten it down. If not, try a few thick washers to act as spacers and see if that will stop it

 

I still have one longer bolt from the bed yeah i needed to use one for the middle body mount bolt on the left side 'cause the tred was all screwed up so i put a knut on it! :p thanks I'll try that! :p

 

Brw I think the fact that I bought the summit one for older models didn't help..
