whats the name of this steering part?

i need to replace the balljoint/tierod end thing that connects my pitman arm to my center link but can not figure out what its called. does any one know what it is and how hard it is to change? im assuming it will just pop out with a hammer or a ball joint fork but unsure. thanks.

well it is usually called a drag link. the link that goes from the pitman arm to the tie rod. it has tie rod ends on it.

trick I learned: a pickle fork may not fit (not enough room), so you can do the following... loosen the nut on the end (but don't remove), heat up the pitman arm with a propane torch (not red hot but warm to the touch), then simply turn the steering wheel... usually pops right off... good luck...

FWIW: took me 1.5hrs to change out all steering parts (draglink, tie-rod ends and everything in between)...
