Wheel backspacing

Hey everyone! I'm sure this question has been posted before, but I'm new to the forum so i decided to take the easy way & post first instead of looking. I've got a '90 ranger shortbed 2wd that i'm in the process of redoing. i have a DJM 4" flip kit & their 3" dropped i-beams. I purchased a set of 17 x 7 Torque Thrust II's. these wheels have a 4" backspace, the only backspace available for that size wheel. Will this wheel clear the front wheel openings? I've heard yes and I've heard no. Any advice??

break out a tape measure and start takin measurements in the wheel well.

i think 4" BS on a 7" wheel is gonna be pretty tight on a square fendered 90. i ran OEM mach1 wheels on my 89 dropped 3" in the front. 17x8 with 5.72" of BS, and they would rub over some bumps in turns.

tire size will also make a big difference.

sounds like youve already got all the parts. put em on and find out.
