2005 Ranger FX4 auto.
I use hard numbers. Mile total / US gallons. A fill-up begins and ends each time period.
Monthly for cars and bimonthly for the truck.
19.659 mpg was MOST encouraging.
I was moving furniture over the Interstate and kept my speed at the limit.
Furniture has air in it but I bet a load 6 times the weight would've yielded the same mileage given the truck's power.

What would the mileage have been with 3.56 gears instead of 4.11 gears?

Possibly worse, no real way to tell.

I had an 82 Dodge Ramcharger with a 318, I went from 3.21 to 4.11, Had speedo re-calibrated, my mileage went up 4 mpg at 60 mph
