so i got a 3.0 5-speed stx ranger. i need new tires and was looking at the BFG's 31x10.5x15
some say they rub some say they dont. has anyone used these tires. i have a completely stock truck. thanks for the help guys

 

You've got coil springs.....most opt for a lift to clear the 31's.....31's are really quite stuffed if left stock and I can see it rubbing. 30x9.50 fit and don't rub.

 

will it rub from the sides or the top. i have 235/75/15 on right now and there seems to be lots of room. but i aint no expert on this

 

is it a 2wd or 4wd?? i had 31x10.5x15 BFG A/T's on my 4x4 ranger with no lift and didnt have any problem.. you should be ok. it most likely wont rub from up/down its when at full turn it might do some light rubbing but thats it.

 

its probally 2wd if its a 05... i had 30.5 on my 01, and it would only rub under full lock going in, and out of steep driveways... now it might be a little closer duw to the huge front valance on the STX

its only a 2x2. i do a lot of highway driving so thats why i want a taller tire. if the tire will only rub on full turn then ill be fine with that cause i really dont do any u-turns. and i know that the front bumper is lower than most rangers so i really dont want the tire rubbing there. thanks for all the help guys
