15x10 in Ontario Canada

Right now im in between buying a 15x8 or a 15x10. I want the 15x10's for the better tire wear and the wider stance, but I dont want to be getting pulled over for having my tires sticking out. Anybody know what the limit is? Also, i have a flareside, so i dont know if that would change the appearance of how far they come out or not.

How big of tires do you plan on running in the future?

The Highway Traffic Act for Ontario doesn't really specify what the limit is, the only thing that comes close is the following statement:

"Every motor vehicle and every trailer shall be equipped with mudguards or fenders or other device adequate to reduce effectively the wheel spray or splash of water from the roadway to the rear thereof, unless adequate protection is afforded by the body of the motor vehicle or trailer or by a trailer drawn by the motor vehicle."

Here is the website if you want to take a look:

so technically you should not have tires sticking out beyond the fenders, or if you do, you should have adequate fender flares to cover 100% of the tire. you can fudge things a little and get away with it though!
