215/70/15 viability for snows on 07

** Updated as I had typed 235 - not 225 which is what I have! **
I have a 2007 ranger extended cab.
Currently I have 225/70/15 mounted but a local man offered me a set of 215/70/15 snows on rims for $80.
I should say that the rims are from an '03 Dodge Caravan so they should be 6.6J x 15ET40 whereas Ford rims are 7J X 15ET12.
Both should have a 114.3PCD

Never had snows on my truck before and logically should be more reliable than all seasons with weight but:
Will 215/70/15s work on an 07 Ranger? And with this rim?

I've seen 225/75/15 on a ranger before but not this combo.
Any thoughts (for or against)?

7Jx15 ET12
