sorry, but how does real-world driving make it work and a balancer doesn't, i just don't see the logic behind that(feel free to show me, i will listen to it).

i just read the example of the "five pound weight" and it seems to me that this product would only add more weight the the heavy part of the tire.

do you guys really through your tires out of balance that much? i balance my own tires, get them to 0.0, got offroading, and check them again and still have them at 0(though i completely understand when they do not balance a perfect again).

ok, this isnt supposed to be a pissn match, but your siding with Brad

now, the same thing i asked brad, and ill ask you

why wouldnt this work? ive seen proof that it does work, but yet, you and Brad have yet to show ANYTHING that shows it doesnt work

so i ask again, wheres the proof that it doesnt work?

and why cant the road test vs balence machine make sense? these products are supposed to work above ~10mph, and how fast does a balencer really spin the tires? does every tire shop have a high speed balencer?

Im not a tire man, but i do know how to read, so thats how i get information, well, that and real world experience, if someone tells me they use it and like it, and articles show the physics behind it, why should i doubt them because 2 guys that worked/works at a tire shop say other wise?

Because the 2 people saying it does work is the SAME as 2 guys working/worked with tires that has seen it not work.

Testimonials and Physics on the inraweb doesnt mean diddly. People will say anythign to sell a product. We are a group of 'friends' here to help.

Whether we say it does or doesnt, I would think the people here would have a stronger say just because we dont benefit one way or another from you buying or not buying this product.

first off don't bring up pissing match s***!!! siding with brad, yahh i agree with him. what am i supposed to side with you and not agree with you, that just doesn't make sense
REALIZE that i am not here to have a pissing match with you so don't start one. I like everybody else in this post is looking out for the best interest of everybody on this site. we disagree, yes. so don't point me out for siding with somebody when i am just expressing my opinion the same way you are

I am going to try and do some research on this FYI. But, for now please don't call data provided by the maker of the product proof. sorry but this is a load of crap(whether it is true or not). I am about to graduate with a degree in Sociology and i have to see numbers all the time. you know one of the most important things that school has taught me, it is numbers don't mean jack unless you look at how they are interpreted.

so like i said, i will attempt to get some data on this that will either prove or disprove it. either way i want the truth so i don't have to read this crap anymore just like the tornado

alright, pissn match it taken out, and i will continue to take out posts that involve that

but, if you look at the orignal link, its not someone selling their product, its someone pushing a cheaper replacement, a common item found at sporting goods...

so if it was an article about EQUAL or something similar, id be worried, but its an average guy saying to used Air Soft BBs instead, and he explains the Pros compared to other products...

so once again, when you guys says its a company pushing their product, its not, its a offroader, posting their homemade mods

Fix A Flat and Eqaul are DIFFERENT, just cause they are inside the tire does not make them the same.

Let me post a little something.

I am interested in the truth on this subject, so like i said i will do what i can to get some expert data from tire manufactures. If i can't find good data then i won't post it, and if my data proves or disproves it then i don't want people pissing on each other about it. Take it for what it is and that will be all.

I also don't want to be part of the pissing match betweent some of you so don't try to bring me into it either

i was waiting for this response. we all form opinions from experiences that we have in life. that is how some say the product works and some say it doesn't. no that is not a perfect analogy because those that say it works have ridden it trucks with it, but just understand that i don't like stuff floating around in my tire, this is my opinion

Wow, a lot of arguing going on here...although i just skimmed through, im going to throw out my opinion.

Im going to say Equal all the way..ANY tire over a 33 should not be ballanced with weights. After talking to my friend from Bell tire, he has put it in many of semi and oversized tires and has never had anyone complain about it. I as well feel that bills truck on mud terrains and 35 rides smoother then mine on 33's and all terrains. I have had my tires rebalanced a few times and they just are not smooth. The equal stuff really seems to work and do the job. It also will avoides thoes dam weights to be pounded on your expensive wheels. Thats a main point for Anyone who lives in a snowy state where there is salt on the ground.

i forgot to post earlier a little something else. as stated above about the oversized tires (lets say 33's and above) i am a little less against trying this product in those tires. why you might ask, well as stated in previous posts, it takes a lot of weight to balance large tires and what the hell give it a try.

also in regards to those of you who worry about lead weights being pounded on your tires, just ask for tape weights

I have worked on Class 8 trucks for 14 years.
I have been changing tires on Tractor-Trailers for 14 years.
I have probably forgotten more, than most people even know about tires.
I have balanced 295/75R22.5 tires and 295/75R24.5 tires with EQUAL.
These tires were steering tires, on 18 wheelers. I also test drive these same trucks. Equal works, and any product, similar in material, will work to balance large tires.

I hope this goes to Myth-Busters....Myth Confirmed....

Anyone here ever heard of http://www.centramatic.com ? I have a few buddies that have then in their jeeps and swear by them. About 200 for a set of 4.

Looks like this:

These things balance for hubs and rotors as well = a better ride than just balaning your wheels. No more weights to fly off, and tire wear is way down
