Back spacing question
Back spacing question
In reviewing the Tire size chart thread, it looks as though on 99 XL 4x4, with a t-bar crank, I can get a 33x12.5x15 on, but may require some trimming.
Three questions,
a) what needs trimmed?
b) if I change wheels to ones that have a back spacing of 3.75" instead of the 4.5", would i still need to trim whatever it is that needs trimmed?
c) without any lift, would 33's look too big?
The tires we're looking at are either the duratracs, niito terra grapplers, or some bfg m/ts

We don't have the torch required to do the body lift, and, while I don't mind tackling most projects, after reading the How To sticky, I'm not sure I really want to do the body lift myself. And it's like $750 to have the local 4x4 shop do it!
trust me, if you offroad your truck AT ALL do not put 33x12.5 on your truck with out any lift unless you want to cut the crap outta yourrear fenders... cause if a sawzall doesnt cut them the tires will rip them off
31s it is, unlesss the boy wants to pop for the BL too! Probably will do the offset wheels, to give it a little wider look.Heck, he'll probably end up double lifting it next summer.
Thanks for all of the input.
