When I got my truck lowered I had my camber and alignment done on my stock tires (225/75/15 = 27.4" diameter). Since then I am running 225/40/18 = 25.1" diameter. And for my winter setup I went with a 225/60/15 = 25.6" diameter. There is still a little bit of camber from when I got the 18's. I paid an arm and a leg to do it the first time and I don't want to again. I'd rather learn how to do it myself and was wondering how it is done. I know you can buy camber washers or whatever they are called. But how do I measure the degree I need and how do I install them?

 

they use 40 or 50thousand dollar computers to do alignments, not just something you can eye up

the machine tells how much the alignment is off and then its ajusted from there..

honestly, if you could eyeball your alignment to near factory specs, im sure EVERYONE would do it instead of paying a shop....

next time, spend the big bucks and get the lifetime warrenty, then you can get it aligned for free anytime you want

 

Well I've heard of people installing new camber bushings themselves to save money. That's what I'd like to give a shot if I could.

 

camber bushings ...camber bolts.... they dont make camber bushing for the newer rangers..those are of the twin i beam front ends.. yours has camber bolts..if they really changed the camber when you had it aligned you have the camber bolts in there already.. there is no way to adjust camber without the camber bolts in..they may have set the toe...how much did you pay for the alignment?....also where did you go toget it done? ....If you paid over $100 you may have the bolts in it already.... camber bolts IF I remember right are about $20-$35 per
side

also there is no way to just "eye ball it" .. you can get it close but changing camber also changes caster and toe...
