Cobra's

I picked up a set of 01 Cobra rims last summer, and want to get some new tires for them. I don't want low pro's, I was thinking 245/65/17, or 245/70/17 (Discoverer ATR or BFG long trail TA's) would these rub or would I be alright? I currently have the stock 16's in with BFG AT's 245/75/16.

Are you a 4x4? If so, the wheels wont fit! Tire size.....you must tell us about your truck!! 4x4? 2wd Trailhead? 2wd Coil sping?

FWIW...

245/65R17 = 29.5" x 9.6"
245/70R17 = 30.5" x 9.6" (same height as the 245/75r16)(also considered 'plus sizing'...where you are going up in wheel diameter, but staying at the same overall diameter of the combo)

Its a 4x4. i had them on last summer with low pro's but looked weird. yea i want to stay at the same height. Diff rims but still kinda the stock look. Just wondering if the side walls would rub with the new tires..

if you have a 4x4 you can fit at least a 31 inch tire , i have a ranger edge with tortion bars and i fit 275 65 18s (32") tires with 1.25" wheel spacers without adjusting the tortion bars. (NO RUB) you should definetely consider 265 65 17 (30.5") or 265 70 17(31.5") for your rims. that way your truck wont sit so low.summitracing.com has all the tires, their exact height and width and what rim they will fit on Name: IMG_0145.jpg

Pretty darn sure the stang wheels DO NOT have the proper sized hole to clear the 4x4's 'hub/cv shaft' bolt on area.... 2wd torsion bar trucks can get away with it...4x4's cannot.

You can fit up to a 33x10.50 under a 4x4. I loved having 32x11.50's under mine.

I can probably confirm my thoughts about stang wheels fitting a 98+ 4x4 tomorrow.....lil bro has stang wheels on his slammed 2wd...i've got the jacked up 4x4...

^^Pretty damn hot lookin' truck posted above, btw.

The mustang rims that I put on my truck first had 245/45/17 Proxies on them and they fit fine. It was a somewhat tight fit but none the less they still fit. I was just wondering with the side wall of the new tires I want to put on, I want to make sure that they won't rub. I'm somewhat limited on space with the 245's but if I went any bigger, i'd just prob. need some spacers then..... Yea real nice truck btw

thanks brother, good luck to you....i just think the bigger the tire, the bigger the rim looks but yea you always have a space limit
