cooper stt need opinions

so i need some new rubber for my truck, im thinking about going with 33x12.50 r15 cooper stt tires
a tireshop priced a cooper tire at 179.00 a piece and would cost me ~766 to balance and put on

mainly im wondering about ride smoothness and tire noise

I got my STT's 285/75-16's for $660 mounted and balanced, absolutly love them, they look so agressive and awesome in the snow, weve had a storm pretty much every week in New Hampshire and those things yet to dissapoint me

i got mine 32x11.50x15" mounted and balanced for $650ish...

would NEVER buy them again. loud, didn't wear well, and about 10 other reasons.

but for an aggressive tire, they worked pretty well in the rain.

i'd go with bfg mud terrains over stt's any day of the week.

FWIW I think with stts its all about air pressure. I got mine. Absolutely love them.
Dial in the pressure on them and they are nice, quiet, smooth, no problems.
But get inconsistent pressures or the wrong pressure in em then daaaaamn! they rumble like boggers at 55mph+.
Mine are wearing nicely. If I would fix my camber problem they would wear even better.
like I said. love em. mine are quiet and smooth and wearing nicely, awesome in snow, ****ty on ice, good on dirt, good in mud, good on the street, and they look cool to boot. Ive got 32x11.5
forgot to mention.. the sidewalls are tough!! yet they still flex pretty dang good when you've got the pressure waaaay down. so far I like them better than the other similar tires Ive used- mickey thompson a/t, the bfg a/t, bfg m/t
but they don't have anything on the commercial traction tires we have on our crummies..lol

i got 50,000 miles out of my bfg mud terrains.

i wouldn't have been able to get 15,000 out of the stt's, had i not traded the truck in.
