old style cooper SSTs in the snow are like wiping ur *** with a hula-hoop...
i would think the PC ATs would clean themselves out SLIGHTLY better than the BFG ATs...but marginally better if that.
i have PC MTs and they do pretty well in the snow...and the Coopers look similiar in the set up (center tread siped) so they should do alright.

Just a little comment as far as beads go, I have cooper STs and I didnt realize I had a flat on the freeway and drove for about 1-2miles at 65mph or so with 0psi in my tire and after gettin the spare on, plugin it and filling it with air the bead was never broke and the tire holds air perfect. I love cooper tires.

I have Dean "wildcat AT" LT Load range E.
I once put 80# in them (max rating) I think the truck went up an inch at least..
of course the contact patch was so small it would barely steer the 1mile home lol.
(where I deflated them the next day at 18degrees)
On a side note I lost 5#of air from the temperature change 59 to 18degrees

No mudder is going to be anywhere near as good on any depth of snow, especially hardpacked snow, or on ice, as a true snow tire. A true snow tire is made of a soft compound and because of the soft compound (which an AT, MT, or all-season does NOT have) you get better traction on hardpacked snow and ice. If you want the best in snow/ice traction, get a snow tire, and the more sipes the better. It should have at least 3 sipes in each traction lug. The one sipe in each of the traction lugs of the new model STT is going to be very little help on hardpacked snow or ice. And remember, the STT mudder is not a soft compound tire. People who think they're getting great snow traction with various AT's and MT's oughta try a real snow tire and discover the difference. And if the snow tire is studdable and your state allows studs, GET THEM. They make a big difference. Here's a REAL snow tire, which Griggs will like because (a) its a Cooper, and (b) its made in the USA, not overseas. I'm on the third winter with a set of these, studded, and they're great. When on the tire site, click on "Get a closer look" and note all the sipes:

My wife has the car version on her car. She said she's never had a better tire in the winter.
And I already "represented" you earlier in the thread, lol, and mentioned what a "real" snow tire is.
See? I was listening...

my stt's broke loose, a little, when i got on it(accelerated hard), getting onto the on ramp of the highway... so, ehh... it wasn't the most pleasent experience, but it had just started to rain, so the roads were real slick...
but it's not like my 3.0 gets up and goes super fast... but it's quick enough.

one thing.
they are ridiculously loud.
i had bfg mud terrains before. my f150 has 39" ground hawgs.
my new 32x11.50x15" stt's are louder than either of the other tires. and they are in balance, and aligned. just some super loud tires.
